Central Illinois Monarch Waystations - CI Monarch Jaunt

In July 2023, Katelynn from Green View Companies in Dunlap, IL began organizing the Central Illinois Monarch Jaunt. This is an initiative created and funded by Green View Companies in collaboration with Monarch Watch, the Monarch Waystation Program, Monarch Joint Venture, and other central Illinois organizations. Green View is a family-owned plant nursery, garden center, and landscaping company that has served the central IL community since the 1950s. Since they were already a Monarch Waystation, they wanted to promote awareness of other waystations in the area. From this, a "Central Illinois Monarch Jaunt" brochure was created to allow people to see the different waystations in our community.

The idea is simple. We want everyone to be able to visit the waystations and see the impact that they are making in conserving the monarch population. This is a self-guided initiative, with no set date or time. Visitors can pick up a map from any participating location which includes a list of all other participating locations as well as pertinent information about monarchs and their habitats. Monarch Waystations are a valuable educational experience and our intention is to educate the public on the value of waystations and encourage others to add their own waystations.

Interested in the brochure? It is available online at: CI Monarch Jaunt brochure.pdf (link will be active when brochure approved)

An online map of the central Illinois monarch waystations is linked here to make it easier to locate the waystations.

**Please check at the front desk to reserve a meeting room**

The Lillie M. Evans Library District has two meeting rooms.  Details about the size and capacity of each room are below. The primary purpose of the meeting rooms is to support library functions, meetings, and programs. The meeting rooms may, on occasion, be made available for use by members of the public.  Library sponsored programs receive first priority, after which other requests will be considered in the order in which they are received. The Library District reserves the right to revise any meeting arrangements scheduled if necessary and to preempt an established reservation upon reasonable notification. Organizations not affiliated with the Lillie M. Evans Library District may use the meeting room only when all of the following conditions are met:

  1. Requests for meeting room use must be made to the library staff in advance. An application for use may be filed up to 6 months in advance.
  2. The organization conducting the meeting is not doing so for the immediate or ultimate gain of a for-profit business or agency with the exception of meetings that are perceived by the Board or library director as furthering the mission of the library as stated in its mission statement.
  3. The meeting cannot be expected to disrupt the ability of the library to conduct its business in a normal and orderly manner.
  4. The meeting is open to the public.
  5. When reserving the meeting room for a non-library event, the reservation must be made by an adult resident of the library district. Reservations made for parties (birthdays, anniversaries, showers, etc.) must pay a $15 non-refundable fee at time of reservation and all conditions must be followed.
  6. The resident of the library district making the reservation assumes responsibility for security and damages to library property. A clean-up fee may be imposed on any group violating this requirement.
  7. The organization will be responsible for any advance preparation and room set-up and for leaving the facilities in the same order they were before the meeting.
  8. Alcohol, tobacco/vaping products, and controlled substances are prohibited. Due to insurance concerns, no inflatables (for example: bouncy houses) are allowed in meeting room spaces.
  9. Meetings may be held before or after regularly scheduled Library hours only when prior arrangement has been made and approval has been given.
  10. Library District audiovisual equipment may be available for use with proper advance request. Library staff is not available to operate equipment.
  11. In the event of a Library building emergency or weather-related emergency, meetings will be cancelled.
  12. Failure to comply with the terms of this policy could affect the future access of the organization or individual to the room.

Groups may appeal any decision of the Library District under this Meeting Room Policy to the Board of Trustees.  Such appeal shall be filed in writing with the Library Director within 10 days after notice of the decision is given to the group.  In the event of such appeal, the Board of Trustees may hold a hearing for the purpose of hearing evidence relevant to the appeal.  Within 30 days the Board of Trustees will make a final decision regarding the matter.

Tis So Sweet to Trust in Jesus

'Tis so sweet to trust in Jesus,
Just to take Him at His Word
Just to rest upon His promise,
Just to know, "Thus saith the Lord!"

CHORUS

Jesus, Jesus, how I trust Him!
How I've proved Him o'er and o'er
Jesus, Jesus, precious Jesus!
Oh, for grace to trust Him more!

Yes, 'tis sweet to trust in Jesus,
Just from sin and self to cease
Just from Jesus simply taking
Life and rest, and joy and peace.

CHORUS

I'm so glad I learned to trust Thee,
Precious Jesus, Savior, Friend
And I know that Thou art with me,
Wilt be with me to the end.

CHORUS

What a Friend We Have in Jesus

What a friend we have in Jesus
All our sins and griefs to bear
What a privilege to carry
Everything to God in prayer

Oh, what peace we often forfeit
Oh, what needless pain we bear
All because we do not carry
Everything to God in prayer

Have we trials and temptations?
Is there trouble anywhere?
We should never be discouraged
Take it to the Lord in prayer

Can we find a friend so faithful
Who will all our sorrows share?
Jesus knows our every weakness
Take it to the Lord in prayer

Are we weak and heavy laden,
Cumbered with a load of care?
Precious Savior, still our refuge,/
Take it to the Lord in prayer.

Do thy friends despise, forsake thee?
Take it to the Lord in prayer;
In His arms He’ll take and shield thee,
Thou wilt find a solace there.

My Savior’s Love

I stand amazed in the presence
Of Jesus the Nazarene
And wonder how He could love me
A sinner, condemned, unclean

CHORUS

How marvelous, how wonderful
And my song shall ever be
How marvelous, how wonderful

is my Savior's love for me

For me it was in the garden
He prayed, “Not my will, but Thine.”
He had no tears for His own griefs,
But sweat drops of blood for mine.

CHORUS

He took my sins and my sorrows
And He made them His very own
He bore the burden to Calvary
Then suffered and died alone

CHORUS

When with the ransomed in glory
His face I at last shall see
'Twill be my joy through the ages
To sing of His love for me.

CHORUS

Trust and Obey

When we walk with the Lord in the light of His Word
What a glory He sheds on our way!
While we do His good will, He abides with us still
And with all who will trust and obey

CHORUS

Trust and obey, for there's no other way
To be happy in Jesus, but to trust and obey

Not a shadow can rise, not a cloud in the skies
But His smile quickly drives it away
Not a doubt or a fear, not a sigh or a tear
Can abide while we trust and obey

CHORUS

Not a burden we bear, not a sorrow we share,
But our toil He doth richly repay,
Not a grief nor a loss, not a frown nor a cross,
But is blessed if we trust and obey.

CHORUS

Then in fellowship sweet we will sit at His feet
Or we'll walk by His side in the way
What He says we will do, where He sends we will go
Never fear, only trust and obey

CHORUS

The Solid Rock

My hope is built on nothing less
Than Jesus Christ, my righteousness;
I dare not trust the sweetest frame,
But wholly lean on Jesus’ name.

CHORUS

On Christ, the solid Rock, I stand;
All other ground is sinking sand,
All other ground is sinking sand.

When darkness veils His lovely face,
I rest on His unchanging grace;
In every high and stormy gale,
My anchor holds within the veil.

CHORUS

When He shall come with trumpet sound,
Oh, may I then in Him be found;
Dressed in His righteousness, alone,
Faultless to stand before the throne.

CHORUS

Our God, He is Alive

There is, beyond the azure blue;
A God, concealed from human sight,
He tinted skies with heavenly hue
And framed the worlds with His great might.

CHORUS

There is a God, He is alive,
In Him we live and we survive;
From dust our God created man,
He is our God, the great I AM.

Secure, is life from mortal mind,
God holds the germ within His hand,
ho’ men may search, they cannot find,
For God alone does understand.

CHORUS

Our God, whose Son upon a tree,
A life was willing there to give,
That He from sin might set men free,
And evermore with Him could live.<

Behold Our God

Who has held the oceans in his hands?
Who has numbered every grain of sand?
Kings and nations tremble at his voice
All creation rises to rejoice

CHORUS

Behold our God, seated on his throne
Come, let us adore him
Behold our king, nothing can compare
Come, let us adore him

Who has given counsel to the Lord?
Who can question any of his words?
Who can teach, the one who knows all things?
Who can fathom all his wondrous deeds?

CHORUS

Who has felt the nails upon his hands
Bearing all the guilt of sinful man?
God eternal, humbled to the grave
Jesus, Savior, risen now to reign.

CHORUS

Men: You will reign forever

Women: Let Your glory fill the earth

Be Thou My Vision

Be Thou my vision, O Lord of my heart
Naught be all else to me, save that Thou art
Thou my best thought, by day or by night
Waking or sleeping, Thy presence my light.

Be Thou my wisdom, and Thou my true word
I ever with Thee and Thou with me, Lord
Thou my great Father, and I Thy true son
Thou in me dwelling and I with Thee one.

Riches I heed not, nor vain, empty praise
Thou mine inheritance, now and always
Thou and Thou only first in my heart
High King of heaven, my treasure Thou art

High King of heaven, my victory won
May I reach heaven's joys, O bright heaven's sun
Heart of my own heart, whatever befall
Still be my vision, O ruler of all

Come, Thou Fount, Come Thou King

Come, Thou Fount of every blessing, tune my heart to sing Thy grace
Streams of mercy, never ceasing call for songs of loudest praise
Teach me some melodious sonnet sung by flaming tongues above
Praise the mount, I'm fixed up, on it - mount of Thy redeeming love.

I was lost in utter darkness 'til You came and rescued me
I was bound by all my sin when Your love came and set me free
Now my soul can sing a new song, now my heart has found a home
Now Your grace is always with me- and I'll never be alone.

Chorus

Come, Thou Fount, come, Thou King; Come, Thou precious Prince of Peace
Hear Your bride, to You we sing, come, Thou Fount of our blessing.

O, to grace, how great a debtor daily I'm constrained to be
Let Thy goodness, like a fetter, bind my wandering heart to Thee
Prone to wander, Lord, I feel it, prone to leave the God I love
Here's my heart, Lord, take and seal it - seal it for Thy courts above

CHORUS

In Christ Alone

In Christ alone my hope is found
He is my light, my strength, my song
This cornerstone, this solid ground
Firm through the fiercest drought and storm
What heights of love, what depths of peace
When fears are stilled, when strivings cease
My comforter, my all in all
Here in the love of Christ I stand

In Christ alone who took on flesh
Fullness of God in helpless babe
This gift of love and righteousness
Scorned by the ones He came to save
Till on that cross as Jesus died
The wrath of God was satisfied
For every sin on Him was laid
Here in the death of Christ I live

There in the ground His body lay
Light of the world by darkness slain
Then bursting forth in glorious day
Up from the grave He rose again
And as He stands in victory
Sin's curse has lost its grip on me
For I am His and He is mine
Bought with the precious blood of Christ

No guilt in life, no fear in death
This is the power of Christ in me
From life’s first cry to final breath
Jesus commands my destiny
No power of hell, no scheme of man
Can ever pluck me from His hand
Till He returns or calls me home
Here in the power of Christ I'll stand

Wonderful, Merciful Savior

Wonderful, merciful Savior
Precious Redeemer and Friend
Who would have thought that a Lamb
Could rescue the souls of men
Oh, You rescue the souls of men

Counselor, Comforter, Keeper
Spirit we long to embrace
You offer hope when our hearts have
Hopelessly lost our way
Oh, we've hopelessly lost the way

CHORUS

You are the One that we praise
You are the One we adore
You give the healing and grace
Our hearts always hunger for
Oh, our hearts always hunger for

Almighty, infinite Father
Faithfully loving Your own
Here in our weakness You find us
Falling before Your throne
Oh, we're falling before Your throne

CHORUS

Turn Your Eyes

Turn your eyes upon Jesus
Look full in His wonderful face
And the things of earth will grow strangely dim
In the light of His glory and grace

Turn your eyes to the hillside
Where justice and mercy embraced
There the Son of God gave His life for us
And our measureless debt was erased

CHORUS

Jesus, to You we lift our eyes
Jesus, our glory and our prize
We adore You, behold You, our Savior ever true
Oh Jesus, we turn our eyes to You.

Turn your eyes to the morning
And see Christ the Lion awake
What a glorious dawn, fear of death is gone
For we carry His life in our veins

CHORUS

Turn your eyes to the heavens
Our King will return for His own
Every knee will bow, every tongue will shout,
‘All glory to Jesus alone!’

10,000 Reasons (Bless the Lord)

CHORUS

Bless the Lord, O my soul,
O my soul, worship His holy Name.
Sing like never before, O my soul.
I’ll worship Your holy Name.

The sun comes up, it’s a new day dawning;
It’s time to sing Your song again.
Whatever may pass and whatever lies before me,
Let me be singing when the evening comes.

CHORUS

You’re rich in love and You’re slow to anger,
Your Name is great and Your heart is kind;
For all Your goodness I will keep on singing,
Ten thousand reasons for my heart to find.

CHORUS

And on that day when my strength is failing,
The end draws near and my time has come;
Still my soul sings Your praise unending,
Ten thousand years and then forevermore.

CHORUS

 Worship Your holy name,

Lord, I’ll worship Your holy name.

Here is Love

Here is love, vast as the ocean,
Loving-kindness as the flood,
When the Prince of Life, our Ransom,
Shed for us His precious blood.
Who His love will not remember?
Who can cease to sing His praise?
He can never be forgotten,

Throughout heav’n’s eternal days.

On the mount of crucifixion,
Fountains opened deep and wide;
Through the floodgates of God’s mercy
Flowed a vast and gracious tide.
Grace and love, like mighty rivers,
Poured incessant from above,
And heav’n’s peace and perfect justice

Kissed a guilty world in love.

Let me, all Thy love accepting,
Love Thee, ever all my days;
Let me seek Thy kingdom only,
And my life be to Thy praise;
Thou alone shalt be my glory,
Nothing in the world I see;
Thou hast cleansed and sanctified me,
Thou Thyself hast set me free.

All Glory Be to Christ

Should nothing of our efforts stand, No legacy survive,
Unless the Lord does raise the house, In vain its builders strive.
To you who boast tomorrow’s gain, Tell me, what is your life?
A mist, it vanishes at dawn, All glory be to Christ.

CHORUS

All glory be to Christ our King,
All glory be to Christ.
His rule and reign we’ll ever sing,
All glory be to Christ.

His will be done, His kingdom come, On earth as is above.
Who is Himself our daily bread, Praise Him the Lord of love.
Let living waters satisfy the thirsty without price.
Come eat of Him, our Living Bread, all glory be to Christ.

 CHORUS

When on the day, the great I Am, the faithful and the true,
The Lamb who was for sinner’s slain, Is making all things new.
Behold our God shall live with us, And be our steadfast Light,
And we shall e’er his people be, All glory be to Christ.

CHORUS

Library Garden

In 2023, the LME Library received a $20,000 grant to start an accessible community garden! Funds will be used to add an accessible sidewalk into the hosta garden and to start a community vegetable garden. Watch our website for monthly community conversations on more information on our grant activities.

The Lillie M. Evans Library started developing the library garden with Greenview Nursery during our expansion project in 2000. At that time, walkways were added to the center courtyard and flowers, trees and shrubs were planted to allow library users to enjoy our green spaces. This was then expanded along the west side of the building with a hosta garden. Many thanks to Mary and Jess Arnold for all their hard work to develop and maintain these areas. By providing an outdoor area for the community, the library offers a unique way to connect literacy, learning, and an appreciation for nature as a regular part of the library visit.

Entrance to hosta garden    Sedum in front garden    Courtyard garden

During our 2017 expansion, the library garden was extended all the way around the building. In addition to providing an appreciation of nature and access to a community green space, we wanted the garden to be a sustainable way that incorporates native plants while providing the four basic elements all living creatures (such as birds, butterflies and bees) require: food, water, cover and places to raise young.

Resources

Young Naturalists Recently our Project Next Generation Young Naturalists have helped us develop a LME Library Garden Brochure. This brochure is available online or at the library and provides more information about our gardens and plants. Project Next Generation were awarded grants from the Illinois State Library using federal Library Services and Technology Act funds provided by the Institute of Museum and Library Services. Joy to the World

It Came upon The Midnight Clear
O Little Town of Bethlehem
Silent Night
We Wish You A Merry Christmas

Jov to the World

Joy to the world! The Lord is come;
Let earth receive her King;
Let every heart prepare Him room,
And heav'n and nature sing,
And heav'n and nature sing,
And heav'n, and heav'n and nature sing.

Joy to the earth; the Savior reigns;
Let men their songs employ;
While fields and floods, rocks, hills, and plains,
Repeat the sounding joy,
Repeat the sounding joy,
Repeat, repeat the sounding joy.

Away In A Manger

Away in a manger, no crib for a bed,
The little Lord Jesus laid down His sweet head;
The stars in the sky looked down where He lay.
The little Lord Jesus, asleep on the hay.

The cattle are lowing, the poor Baby wakes,
But little Lord Jesus no crying He makes,
I love Thee, Lord Jesus! Look down from the sky,
And stay by my cradle, till morning is nigh.

Be near me, Lord Jesus, I ask thee to stay,
Close by me forever, and love me, I pray;
Bless all the dear children in Thy tender care,
And take us to heaven, To live with Thee there.

O come ye, O come ye to Bethlehem;
Come and behold Him, born the King of angels;

O come, let us adore Him, Christ the Lord!

Praise choirs of angels, praise in exultation,
O bring, all ye bright hosts of heav'n above;
Glory to God, all glory in the highest;

(Chorus)

It Came upon The Midnight Clear

It came upon the midnight clear, That glorious song of old,
From angels bending near the earth to touch their harps of gold:
Peace on the earth, good will to men, From heav'n's all gracious King.
The world in solemn stillness lay, to hear the angels sing.

Still through the cloven skies they come, With peaceful wings unfurled,
And still their heav'nly music floats O'er all the weary world;
Above its sad and lowly plains They bend on hoi/ ring wing.
And ever o'er its Babel sounds, The blessed angels sing.

O Little Town of Bethlehem

O little town of Bethlehem, How still we see thee lie!
Above thy deep and dreamless sleep The silent stars go by;
Yet in thy dark streets shineth The everlasting Light;
The hopes and fears of all the years Are met in thee tonight.

For Christ is born of Mary, And gathered all above.
While mortals sleep, the angels keep Their watch of wand'ring love.
O morning stars, together proclaim the holy birth!
And praises sing to God the King, And peace to men on earth.

Silent Night

Silent night, holy night, All is calm, all is bright

Round yon virgin mother and child. Holy infant so tender and mild,

Sleep in heavenly peace, Sleep in heavenly peace.

Silent night, holy night. Shepherds quake at the sight,

Glories stream from heaven afar, Heavenly hosts sing alleluia.

Christ, the Savior is born! Christ, the Savior is born!

Silent night, holy night, Son of God, love's pure light

Radiant beams from Thy holy face, With the dawn of redeeming grace,

Jesus, Lord at Thy birth, Jesus, Lord at Thy birth.

BECAUSE HE LIVES

God sent His Son, they called Him Jesus, He came to love, heal, and forgive.

He lived and died to buy my pardon, An empty grave is there to prove My Savior lives.

Because He lives I can face tomorrow,

Because He lives all fear is gone,

Because I know He holds the future, And life is worth the living just because He lives.

How sweet to hold a newborn baby,

And feels he pride and joy he gives,

But greater still the calm assurance, This child can face uncertain days Because He lives.

Because He lives I can face tomorrow,

Because He lives all fear is gone,

Because I know He holds the future, And life is worth the living just because He lives.

And then one day I’ll cross that river, I’ll fight life’s final war with pain, And then as death gives way to vict’ry, I’ll see the lights of glory and I’ll know He reigns.

Because He lives I can face tomorrow,

Because He lives all fear is gone,

Because I know He holds the future,

And life is worth the living just because He lives.

CROWN HIM WITH MANY CROWNS/MY CHAINS ARE GONE

Crown Him with many crowns

The Lamb upon His throne,

Hark, how the heavenly anthem drowns All music but it’s own.

Awake my soul and sing of Him who died for thee,

And hail Him as thy matchless king through all eternity.

My chains are gone, I’ve been set free,

My God, my Savior, has ransomed me,

And like a flood His mercy reigns. Unending love! Amazing grace!

Crown Him the Lord of life

Who triumphed o’er the grave,

And rose victorious in the strife For those He came to save.

His glories now we sing who died and rose on high,

Who died eternal life to bring and lives that death may die.

My chains are gone, I’ve been set free,

My God, my Savior, has ransomed me, And like a flood His mercy reigns. Unending love! Amazing grace!

My chains are gone, I’ve been set free,

My God, my Savior, has ransomed me, And like a flood His mercy reigns. Unending love! Amazing grace!

Unending love! Amazing grace!

HOW DEEP THE FATHER’S LOVE FOR US

How deep the Father’s love for us, how vast beyond all measure

That He should give His only Son to make a wretch His treasure. How great the pain of searing loss; the Father turned His face away, As wounds which mar the Chosen One bring many sons to glory.

Behold the Man upon a cross! My sin upon His shoulders.

Ashamed I hear my mocking voice call out among the scoffers.

It was my sin that held Him there until it was accomplished.

His dying breath has brought me life! I know that it is finished!

I will not boast in anything; no gifts, no power, no wisdom; But I will boast in Jesus Christ, His death and resurrection.

Why should I gain from His reward? I cannot give an answer,

But this I know with all my heart: His wounds have paid my ransom.

But this I know with all my heart: His wounds have paid my ransom.

ANCIENT WORDS

Holy words, long preserved for our walk in this world, They resound with God’s own heart,  O, let the ancient words impart.

Words of life, words of hope give us strength, help us cope; In this world where’er we roam, ancient words will guide us home.

Ancient words ever true, changing me, changing you,

We have come with open hearts! O, let the ancient words impart.

Holy words of our faith handed down to this age

Came to us through sacrifice. O, heed the faithful words of Christ.

Martyr’s blood stains each page. They have died for this faith,

Hear them cry through the years. Heed these words and hold them dear.

Ancient words ever true, changing me, changing you, We have come with open hearts! O, let the ancient words impart.

Ancient words ever true, changing me, changing you,

We have come with open hearts! O, let the ancient words impart.

We have come with open hearts! O, let the ancient words impart.

JESUS, STRONG AND KIND

Jesus said that if I thirst I should come to Him; No one else can satisfy; I should come to Him.

Jesus said if I am weak I should come to Him; No one else can be my strength; I should come to Him.

For the Lord is good and faithful, He will keep us day and night. We can always run to Jesus, Jesus, strong and kind.

Jesus said that if I fear I should come to him, No on else can be my shield; I should come to Him.

For the Lord is good and faithful, He will keep us day and night. We can always run to Jesus, Jesus, strong and kind.

Jesus said if I am lost He will come to me,

And He showed me on that cross; He will come to me.

For the Lord is good and faithful, He will keep us day and night. We can always run to Jesus, Jesus, strong and kind.

For the Lord is good and faithful, He will keep us day and night. We can always run to Jesus, Jesus, strong and kind.

Jesus, strong and kind.

O, FOR A THOUSAND TONGUES TO SING

O, for a thousand tongues to sing my great Redeemers praise, The glories of my God and King, the triumphs of His grace.

My gracious Master and my God, assist me to proclaim, To spread through all the earth abroad the honors of Thy Name.

Jesus the Name that charms our fears, that bids our our sorrows cease, ’Tis music in the sinner’s ears. ’Tis life and health and peace.

He breaks the power of cancelled sin; He sets the pris’ner free, His blood can make the foulest clean, His blood availed for me.

Glory to God and praise and love be ever, ever giv’n,

By saints below and saints above, the church in earth and heav’n.

HYMN OF HEAVEN

How I long to breathe the air of Heaven,  where pain is gone and mercy fills the streets, To look upon the One who bled to save me, And walk with Him for all eternity.

There will be a day when all will bow before Him,

There will be a day when death will be no more, Standing face to face with He who died and rose again. Holy, holy is the Lord!

And every prayer we prayed in desperation,

The songs of faith we sang through doubt and fear,

In the end we’ll see that it was worth it When He returns to wipe away our tears.

There will be a day when all will bow before Him,

There will be a day when death will be no more, Standing face to face with He who died and rose again. Holy, holy is the Lord!

And on that day we join the resurrection And stand beside the heroes of the faith.

With one voice, a thousand generations Wing worthy is the Lamb who was slain.

And on that day we join the resurrection And stand beside the heroes of the faith.

With one voice, a thousand generations

Wing worthy is the Lamb who was slain.

Forever He shall sign.

So, let it be today we shout the hymn of Heaven With angels and the saints we raise a mighty roar:

Glory to our God who gave us life beyond the grave. Holy, holy is the Lord!

So, let it be today we shout the hymn of Heaven With angels and the saints we raise a mighty roar:

Glory to our God who gave us life beyond the grave. Holy, holy is the Lord!

Holy, holy is the Lord!

Holy, holy is the Lord!

Holy, holy is the Lord!

JESUS LOVES THE LITTLE CHILDREN

Jesus loves the little children, all the children of the world.

Red and yellow, black and white, they are precious in His sight; Jesus loves the little children of the world.

Jesus died for all the children, all the children of the world.

Red and yellow, black and white, they are precious in His sight; Jesus died for all the children of the world.

Jesus rose for all the children, all the children of the world.

Red and yellow, black and white, they are precious in His sight; Jesus rose for all the children of the world.

Jesus lives for all the children, all the children of the world.

Red and yellow, black and white, they are precious in His sight; Jesus lives for all the children of the world.

THIS LITTLE LIGHT OF MINE

This little light of mine, I’m going to let it shine!

This little light of mine, I’m going to let it shine,  Let it shine, let it shine, let it shine.

Won’t let Satan blow it out, I’m going to let it shine!

Won’t let Satan blow it out, I’m going to let it shine, Let it shine, let it shine, let it shine.

Hide it under a bushel? No! I’m going to let it shine! Hide it under a bushel? No! I’m going to let shine,  Let it shine, let it shine, let it shine.

Let it shine ’til Jesus comes. I’m going to let it shine!

Let it shine ’til Jesus comes. I’m going to let it shine, Let it shine, let it shine, let it shine.

JOY IN MY HEART

I have the joy, joy, joy, joy down in my heart, Down in my heart, down in my heart.

I have the joy, joy, joy, joy down in my heart, Down in my heart to stay.

I have the peace that passeth understanding down in my heart, Down in my heart, down in my heart.

I have the peace that passeth understanding down in my heart, Down in my heart to stay.

I have the love of Jesus, love of Jesus, down in my heart, Down in my heart, down in my heart.

I have the love of Jesus, love of Jesus, down in my heart, Down in my heart to stay.

THE SOLID ROCK

My hope is built on nothing less than Jesus blood and righteousness; I dare not trust the sweetest frame, but wholly lean on Jesus’ Name.

On Christ the solid rock I stand, all other ground is sinking sand, All other ground is sinking sand.

When darkness seems to hide his face, I rest on His unchanging grace, In every high and stormy gale, my anchor holds within the vale.

On Christ the solid rock I stand, all other ground is sinking sand, All other ground is sinking sand.

When He shall come with trumpet sound, Oh, I may I then in Him be found; Dressed in His righteousness alone, faultless to stand before the throne.

On Christ the solid rock I stand, all other ground is sinking sand, All other ground is sinking sand.

HOW GREAT THOU ART

O Lord, my God, when I in awesome wonder

Consider all the worlds thy hands have made, I see the stars, I hear the rolling thunder,

Thy power throughout the universe displayed.

Then sings my soul, my Savior God, to Thee, How great Thou art! How great Thou art! Then sings my soul, my Savior God, to Thee, How great Thou art! How great Thou art!

When through the woods and forest glades I wander

And hear the birds sing sweetly in the trees;

When I look down from lofty mountain grandeur And hear the brook and feel the gentle breeze.

Then sings my soul, my Savior God, to Thee, How great Thou art! How great Thou art! Then sings my soul, my Savior God, to Thee, How great Thou art! How great Thou art!

When Christ shall come with shout of acclamation, And take me home, what joy shall fill my heart.

Then I shall bow in humble adoration, and there proclaim,

“My God, how great Thou art!”

Then sings my soul, my Savior God, to Thee, How great Thou art! How great Thou art! Then sings my soul, my Savior God, to Thee, How great Thou art! How great Thou art!

ROCK OF AGES

Rock of Ages, cleft for me, let me hide myself in Thee,

Let the water and the blood, from Thy wounded side which flowed, Be of sin the double cure, save from wrath and make me pure.

Could my tears forever flow Could my zeal no longer know?

These for sin should not atone; Thou must save, and Thou alone; In my hand no price I bring, simply to Thy cross I cling.

While I draw this fleeting breath, when my eyes shall close in death, When I ruse to worlds unknown, and behold Thee on Thy throne, Rock of Ages, cleft for me, let me hide myself in Thee.

STAND UP, STAND UP FOR JESUS

Stand up, stand up for Jesus, ye soldiers of the cross,

Lift high His royal banner, it must not suffer loss,

From vict’ry unto vict’ry, His army shall He lead, Til every foe is vanquished and Christ is Lord, indeed.

Stand up, stand up for Jesus, the trumpet call obey,

Forth to the mighty conflict in this His glorious day,

Ye that are men now serve Him against unnumbered foes, Let courage rise with danger, and strength to strength oppose.

Stand up, stand up for Jesus, stand in His strength alone, The arm of flesh will fail you - ye dare not trust your own.

Put on the gospel armor, and watching unto prayer, Where duty calls or danger, be never wanting there.

AMAZING GRACE

Amazing grace! How sweet the sound that saved a wretch like me!  I once was lost, but now am found; was blind, but now I see.

’Twas grace that taught my heart to fear, and grace my fears relieved, How precious did that grace appear the hour I first believed.

The Lord has promised good to me, His word my hope secures, He will my shield and portion be as long as life endures.

When we’ve been there ten thousand years, bright shining as the sun, We’ve no less days to sing God’s praise than when we’d first begun.

AMERICA THE BEAUTIFUL

O beautiful for spacious skies, For amber waves of grain,

For purple mountain majesties Above the fruited plain!

America! America!

God shed his grace on thee

And crown thy good with brotherhood From sea to shining sea!

O beautiful for pilgrim feet

Whose stern impassioned stress A thoroughfare of freedom beat Across the wilderness!

America! America!

God mend thine every flaw,

Confirm thy soul in self-control, Thy liberty in law!

O beautiful for heroes proved In liberating strife.

Who more than self their country loved And mercy more than life!

America! America!

May God thy gold refine

Till all success be nobleness And every gain divine!

O beautiful for patriot's dream

That sees beyond the years

Thine alabaster cities gleam

Undimmed by human tears!

America! America!

God shed his grace on thee

And crown thy good with brotherhood From sea to shining sea!
