ALL AGES have the same reading program. This will simplify everything for our readers. Our program is 100% paper-free and no check-ins required! We're using ReaderZone's digital reading program (instructions here). Our reading program code is f9a28. Reading minutes are to be recorded starting June 1 - 30, 2021. This instructional VIDEO by ReaderZone can help you get started.

The LME Library has partnered with local businesses to bring you LME Tokens that can be spent at participating businesses:

  • Country Feed & Supply
  • Dirt Road Designs
  • Ellen's Diner
  • Frosted & Sprinkles
  • The Garden Spot
  • Princeville Pharmacy
  • Princeville Prints (in the old Community Bank bldg. on Main St.)

All LME Library patrons who log their reading with us will get 1 LME Token for every 100 minutes they read/listen to books (up to 10 tokens for 1,000 minutes maximum). Tokens may be spent at the local businesses above from June 1, 2021 to July 31, 2021. Each LME Token is worth $1.00. By simply earning and spending LME Tokens you are helping local mom & pop shops during this difficult time for small businesses.
LME Tokens may not be redeemed for cash and no change will be given.

2021 Summer Reading Notes:
  • There are smartphone/tablet apps available free from ReaderZone for Apple, Android, & Amazon devices. This is the easiest interface to use with timers to track reading time or manual minutes read entry options. Parents can track their entire household under one login with individual "child" profiles under it.
  • Patrons without smart devices can signup on a computer at www.readerzone.com.
  • If you do not have a computer or internet access you may still participate!!! Simply call us and we'll register and update reading minutes for you.
  • Everyone who listens to a single story may count those minutes. (Example: If Mom reads to 3 children for 20 minutes they all can log those minutes.
  • Books, eBooks, magazines, graphic novels, comic books, newspapers, audiobooks, study/research/homework materials ALL COUNT as reading minutes.
  • Special 5th-8th Grade note:
    • There is a suggested reading list of the 20 Rebecca Caudill Young Readers Award Nominees (RCYRBA) for 2022. These books are merely suggestions but highly recommended by the Princeville School District Language Arts Teachers. However, these titles are not required and all reading minutes will count.
    • As an added bonus, 5th-8th grade students who read 3 of the nominees will be eligible to vote for the RCYRBA winner and can enter to win a prize in February 2022!
