Hula hooping isn't just for kids anymore! Whether you could rock the hoop as a child or could never get it to stay up give it a second chance. Hooping works your core, hips and thighs and if you can incorporate your arms (with or without the hoop) you'll burn more calories and work more muscle groups. This is not a "choreographed" class with specific moves to learn or sequential movements.

Our hoop instructor Allisen Dubois of Mapleton will start by teaching your to simply keep the hoop around your waist. When you're ready, she'll show you simple tricks to increase the fun and workout!

Still not sure? Adult sized fitness hoops are larger and sturdier than the ones for kids. They are also slightly weighted. This give them more momentum going around your body, making them easier to keep up.

Please enter through the Walnut Street staff entrance, near the garden gate and staff parking area. Participants are not required to bring their own hoops but are welcome to do so. If you would like to purchase your own hoop but don't know where to start, please speak with Allisen. They is a wide variety of hoops and are not "one-size-fits-all."
